These terms are a working draft and have not yet been reviewed by a qualified legal professional. They will be updated before the platform launches commercially. Nothing in this document constitutes a binding agreement until the final version is published.
1

About the Platform

William Stronnar (“the Platform”) is an online publishing platform operated under the pen name William Stronnar. The Platform publishes literary works, essays and archival material created through transparent human-AI collaboration. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2

Accounts and Registration

Certain features of the Platform require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3

Subscriptions and Payments

The Platform offers free access to samples, essays and selected archival material. Paid access is available through individual book purchases (one-off payment) or through monthly or annual subscriptions. Prices will be published on the Subscribe page before any paid tier becomes active.

One-off book purchases grant permanent access to the purchased book and its associated Workshop and Archive material. Monthly and annual subscriptions grant access to all books and platform material for the duration of the subscription period. Subscription renewals and cancellation terms will be confirmed before the paid tiers launch.

Refund policy: to be confirmed following legal review.

4

Intellectual Property — Platform Content

All content published on the Platform — including but not limited to novels, essays, archival documents, Workshop materials, design and branding — is the intellectual property of the respective author or of the Platform, unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from Platform content without prior written permission.

The name “William Stronnar” and associated branding are proprietary to the Platform. Trademark registration is pending.

5

Intellectual Property — Author Rights

Authors who publish on the Platform retain copyright and ownership of their original works. By publishing on the Platform, authors grant the Platform a non-exclusive licence to host, display and distribute their work through the Platform’s channels for the duration of the publishing agreement. The specific terms of this licence will be set out in individual author agreements.

6

User Submissions

Subscribers who submit ideas, essay responses or other material through the Platform’s submission channels grant the Platform a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, adapt and publish that material. Submissions will be reviewed by the editorial team before publication. The Platform is under no obligation to publish any submission.

If a submitted idea is incorporated into a published work, the contributor will be credited in a manner agreed with the author, unless the contributor requests anonymity.

7

AI Collaboration Disclosure

The Platform uses artificial intelligence as a collaborative tool in the creation of literary works. All content on the Platform is clearly labelled to indicate whether it was produced by a human author, an AI collaborator, or through a combination of both. The human author retains editorial control and responsibility for all published material.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that AI tools have been used in the creation of content and that this is disclosed transparently throughout the site.

8

Pen Names and Author Identity

Authors on the Platform may publish under their own name or under a pen name. The Platform does not require public disclosure of an author’s legal identity. However, all authors must provide verifiable identity information to the Platform for administrative and legal purposes. This information will be held in confidence and will not be disclosed without the author’s consent, except where required by law.

9

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to upload, share or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, fraudulent or that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems. The Platform reserves the right to remove content and suspend accounts that breach these standards.

10

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided on an “as is” basis. While we make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of factual content (labelled as such), we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any material on the Platform. Literary works labelled as Fiction or Faction are creative works and should not be relied upon as factual accounts.

11

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or reliance on any content published on the Platform.

12

Data Protection and Privacy

The Platform collects and processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. A separate Privacy Policy will be published before the Platform collects any personal data. Your data will never be sold to third parties.

13

Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email or through a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
